ROTOXKIT M

Each ROTOXKIT M contains all the (disposable) materials to perform 6 complete screening toxicity tests or 5 bioassays and one quality control test with a reference toxicant (dichromate). ROTOXKIT M is based on estuarine rotifer Brachionus plicatilis as organism indicator (rotifers are ecologically important members of many aquatic communities impacted by pollution).

Easy to follow instructions and detailed illustrations are provided in the kit. The test organism are included in the kits in a dormant eggs (cysts) condition, using juveniles of the B. plicatilis hatched from cysts, an acute toxicity test is executed in 24 hours.

ROTOXKIT M is based on mortality of the test organism, with calculation of the 24 h LC50.

Contents:

• Stock culture vial, micropipettes for the transfer of the larvae, tubes with reconstitution medium, stock dilution, multiwell test plate and reference toxicant.
• Detailed and abbreviated protocols, data and calculation sheets.
• Specification sheet with batch number of the cysts, the concentrated salt solutions and the reference toxicant.
